THE DAY THE LORD HAS MADE

This is the day the Lord has made

Exodus 16:23
He said to them, “This is what the LORD commanded: ‘Tomorrow is to be a day of sabbath rest, a holy sabbath to the LORD. So bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil. Save whatever is left and keep it until morning.’”

2 Peter 3:7-9

New International Version (NIV)

By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Prayer:  Father, thank you for this day you have made.  Let us rejoice and be glad in it and give praise the one True God.  Forgive of our sins in the name of Jesus.  Teach by your Word and the leading of your Holy Spirit to honor you daily- a mandate we have fallen short in and ask for your forgiveness.  We thank you for your grace, mercy and patience.  In Jesus name. Amen
