Mark 5:21-43, Jairus approached Jesus on a boat.
Focus Point: Fear “DOA”
36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
We face personal trials and tribulations in our personal lives which tries our faith. God’s Word equips us in our faith to lean on Him only and His Word for every area of our lives. When in our quite place with God we seek to hear His voice and Jesus is our advocate to approach the Throne of our Father. Jesus advocates our prayers and His Holy Spirit delivers the answer to our prayers. In a noisy world we have to remind our selves to allow the Holy Spirit to be the “filter” of our communication line with God.
Notice as soon as Jesus “heard” the news delivered He immediately interceded and fear was “DOA!” He turned to Jarius and said, “Be not afraid, only believe.” As believers when we’re going thru tough moments we sometimes forget to make fear “DOA” and give satan a foothold when he sees this crack in our armor. Jesus says, “Be not afraid, only believe.” Write it on post it notes and plaster it everywhere as a reminder: Mark 5 36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.”
