Contagious joy

Do you have a joy that rubs off on other people?

gomer

I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me, freeing me from all my fears. Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. I cried out to the Lord in my suffering, and he heard me. He set me free from all my fears. For the angel of the Lord guards all who fear him, and he rescues them.

Psalm 34:4-7 NLT

Contagious joy

Do you enjoy watching the televised Olympic games? If you do, you know the joy the winners of an Olympic event experience is contagious. That’s one reason millions of people watch the Olympics so religiously. It’s not simply to see the drama of the event and the excellence and form of the athletes. It’s also to share in the contagious joy of the winners.

In Psalm 34 David describes the same type of joy radiating from believers. All those who look to God for help will experience a joy so intense that other people can see it in their faces. David says the reason for that joy is that God has heard and answered our prayers. Our shame has been taken away. We have been set free from all our fears because the angel of the Lord encamps around us. He guards his people. Pray today that the angel of the Lord will set up camp around you and your relationships. Commit your fears and worries to God, and ask him to guard you. He can set you free from your fears and grant you radiant joy as you look to him for help.

Lord's Word Is A Sweet Fragrance

Lord’s Word Is A Sweet Fragrance

Writer’s thought’s:  I got this in an email today and wanted to share it along with the link for those interested.  This is full of truth and makes one look a whole closer and examine your own heart.   Personally, the last two months have been trial and that’s putting it lightly.  One would expect their family (irregardless of single parent, married, been married, or what the situation) see when you are struggling in just about any area of your life!  You love, teach, take care of, sacrifice for and do without so they do with(in love w/o complaint); BUT comes the day when YOU have come to the end of your rope in dealing with daily pressures, bills, supporting others, barely making it by, THOU(spelling?) you know the Lord is your supplier, healer, defender, keeper, protector(list is to great of the Lord)sound off that you’re burnt out, fed up, can’t stand the pressures anymore; your own family thinks you only want $$ and they know and can count on one finger when you’ve ever ask for help with a bill!  I tell you, blogging has helped to KEEP my sanity!  I prayer this blog has been an encouragement to people.  I love my family; we are all human and Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane(my whining as I call it-is NO comparsion to our Lord’s suffering-let me put that up front so we have no misunderstandings!!!) Jesus showed us his humaness in that Garden=> showing us to WHOM we turn when we heavy laden with burden and we can not bare it anymore(Mt. 11:28 Aramaic Bible in Plain English (©2010) Come unto me, all of you who labor and are forced to bear burdens, and I shall give you rest.)  Amen

Oberservation: The snake has gotten in the Garden deeper in relationships and is SEEKING to kill the ROOT(Root of Jesse when it comes our Lord) and anything that stands for God and His Kingdom.  Division causes confusion and confusion causes division.  This blog is all over the page- point is=> GOD, JESUS, HOLY SPIRIT =SANITY, STABILITY, CURABILITY, SUSTAINABILITY, AND CONTAINIBILITY(A vessel for the Word to sustain the only cure to sin=Jesus= He is the cure who makes you stable in an unstable world and the Holy Spirit gives you sanity by creation of a new mind with your new creation in Christ Jesus.  Amen

PRIDE HUMBLED

“Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything He does is right and all His ways are just. And those who walk in pride He is able to humble” (Daniel 4:37).

Pride will eventually give way to humility. It may not happen overnight. It may have to follow a painful process, because pride can be very, very stubborn. Like an embedded splinter deep in the flesh of your foot, it is hard to remove. You cannot remove it alone, and there is constant throbbing and pain until it is extracted.

This is the plight of pride. Pain and suffering are its cohorts. Pride provides a false sense of security. Spiritually minded people know it is only a matter of time until a fall, as pride will catch up with you. Humility was once a staple in your spiritual diet, but success has squelched your humility and subtly replaced it with pride. Authority without accountability generates pride.

The more authority you possess, the more you are required to submit to accountability. Otherwise, you cannot handle this freewheeling power. Your behavior defaults to pride without the checkmate of humility. This is true in relationships, business, ministry, and churches. Beware of obsessing over control.

Paranoia is an application of pride. You are fearful of losing control. It is better to hand over control than to lose control. Humility gives control, while pride grasps for it. So be open and humble about your insecurities. We are all insecure to some degree. Humility builds security, and pride tears it down. The humble have nothing to hide. So root out pride, replacing it with humility.

The process of pride’s removal begins with submission to Christ. It is acknowledging His lordship and ownership over your life. He is in control. He is large and in charge. Nothing in your life has sneaked up on God. He can be trusted. He holds your life, family, health, and career in His hand. You start by humbly bowing to God with your head and heart. He is to be feared and loved.

You have the awesome opportunity to worship and adore Him. When you walk with God, you walk in humility. Pride cannot coexist in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Pride is extinguished in the presence of Jesus. Pride is like a roach lurking in the dark recesses of your heart. The Holy Spirit’s light reveals pride and convicts you during times of prayer and Scripture meditation.

The second offense to pride is praying people. Ask people to pray for humility to infiltrate and occupy your life. You want the occupation of humility on the soil of your heart and mind. Be transparent with others about your sins and shortcomings. Talk about them with the motive for change.

Humble yourself, and trust God to humble others. It is easy to recognize pride in others while it is still looming in your spirit. Run from spiritual pride. It is the worst kind. It is insidious. It is self-righteousness in nature, and it chokes the Holy Spirit. Humility grows in an environment of honesty, openness, prayer, and change. Be a change agent on behalf of the humble. Humble pride!

“All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, ‘God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.’ Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time” (1 Peter 5:5–6).

JESUS WARNS US SOME WILL ABANDON THE FAITH AND FOLLOW DECEIVING SPIRITS

Jesus Forewarns

1 Timothy 4

4 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

6 If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. 7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. 8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. 9 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. 10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.

11 Command and teach these things. 12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. 14 Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.

15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. 16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.  NIVT

PRAYER: Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, guide us by your Holy Spirit to hear only Your Voice.  I pray strengthen our minds to have the mind of Christ(Romans 7:25-Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.) (1 Corinthians 2:16-for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ) (Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.)  Thank you Father for your Word, the Holy Spirit, grace, mercy, love, patience’s, and your Son, Jesus Christ.  Let those who have ears to hear (Luke 8:8Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown.” When he said this, he called out, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”) and let those who have eyes to see (Luke 10:23Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.) Father, you are our sustainer and provider in strength and daily needs. Praise be your Holy Name.  Thank you for everything.  Your Glory never stops amazing me.  Day to day because of You I am not dismayed.  Why? Because you are the Way (Psalm 77:19Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.) Jesus is the wayJohn 14:6Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Amen
