A vision of heaven

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Crown Him with many crowns, the Lamb upon His throne; Hark! how the heavenly anthem drowns all music but is own. Awake, my soul, and sing of Him who died for thee, and hail Him as they matchless King through all eternity.

      Revelation 19:11-13   KJV

Crown Him with Many Crowns, Matthew Bridges (1800-1894)

Crown Him with Many Crowns

Matthew Bridges became a convert to Roman Catholicism at the age of forty-eight and published this hymn three years later under the title “The Song of the Seraphs.” Godfrey Thring, an Anglican clergyman, added several stanzas to the hymn about thirty years later, with Bridges’s approval. So a Roman Catholic layman and an Anglican cleric, who probably never met, were coauthors of a hymn about heaven, where Christians of every tribe and tongue, as well as of every denomination, will crown Him Lord of all.

One of the aspects that Godfrey Thring felt was missing in the original was a stanza on the Resurrection, and so it was added. “His glories now we sing who died and rose on high, who died, eternal life to bring, and lives, that death may die.”

Lord's Word Is A Sweet Fragrance

Lord’s Word Is A Sweet Fragrance

Pictured is dedicated to our cat, Serene, who has been missing from home since 11-10-12!  We seriously miss him; raised him from a kitten and his mate(Brittany) is sooooo, missing him.  God knows the hurt and longing we have for him to be home with us.  Amen

Isaiah 11:10
In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious.  (Jesus Christ)

Psalm 60:4
But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner to be unfurled (see footnote for unfurled)against the bow.    (Jesus Christ DEFEATS bow which is the bow of antichrist in Rv. 6:2)

Revelation 19:11   King James Version (KJV)

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.  (Jesus Christ- King of Kings, Lord of Lords. Amen)

Revelation 6:2
I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bowand he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.  (Antichrist)

Revelation Given In Prayer:  Father, thank you for making Yeshua the banner by which we turn our gaze upon.  Mine eyes have seen His Glory!  Because He stood in the blaze for us; you commission us to tell His story.  Thru the Root of Jesse a seed was sown;  now through out all nations His name shall be known.  In Heaven on the Right of the Father’s Throne does he sit; interceding for us with no end.  Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom you have told.  The Banner You bestowed is the “One” who broke sin’s mold.  Our King and Our Lord as prophesied in Revelation 19:11 on White Horse shall He ride and with the Sword of His Mouth He shall brake the bow of him in Revelation 6:2 that is set to ride.  To You Father we pray: strengthen us to serve your Kingdom this and everyday.  Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  In Jesus’ name, we Pray. Amen
