DOES THE LORD HAVE YOUR HEART

.<iframe width=”640″ height=”360″ src=”http://www.youtube.com/embed/aLHsQF131HQ?feature=player_embedded” frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen>

God IS ALWAYS CALLING US BACK TO HIM

LIFE AND WINDY ROADS

God is always calling us back to him

Have you ever rebelled against God?  My wayward children,” says the Lord, “come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts.   Jeremiah 3:22 NLT

“When I refused to confess my sin, I was weak and miserable, and I groaned all day long. Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me. My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat. Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and you stopped trying to hide them. I said to myself, ‘I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.’ And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.”   Psalm 32:3-5 NLT

“Create in me a new heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me… Restore to me again the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.”   Psalm 41:10,12

Are you in a tug-of-war with God?  The rebel rejects the expectations, rules, and power of the organization or individual holding authority. Rebellion can be good, if we rebel against injustices or sinful societal pressures.

Rebellion is like a great tug-of-war; the authoritative figure holds one end of the rope while the rebel pulls on the other. This is the trap that satan loves to use on the body of Christ. (John 10:10  The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.)  The adversary lays the trap and sometimes we as Christians fall for it.  Hence, we rebel against God’s righteous decrees and precepts!  God pulls on the rope, not to ruin our lives, but to lead us toward safe footing. (Isaiah 48:17  This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.)

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:  Psalm 42:8
By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life  AMEN

THE DEW OF HEAVEN

Zechariah 8:12
“The seed will grow well, the vine will yield its fruit, the ground will produce its crops, and the heavens will drop their dew. I will give all these things as an inheritance to the remnant of this people.

Psalm 78:24
he rained down manna for the people to eat, he gave them the grain of heaven.

HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD

Amos 8:11
The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign LORD, “when I will send a famine through the land— not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the wordof the LORD.

Hebrews 12:5
And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Jer. 23:29

Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against…

Prayer:  Dear Father, I pray Thee anoint our ears to hear your Word daily.  Strengthen us to be mindful that you discipline us in Love as an earthly father does to teach a child right from wrong.  Thy Word is as the Fire and purifies what it touches by Your hand. Please Guide us by your Holy Spirit to be mindful daily to put on the full armor of God: The helmet of Salvation, the Breastplate of Righteousness, Belt of Truth,  feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, Sword of the Spirit(Word of God), Shield of Faith.  Thank you Father for Love, Grace and Mercy. Above all Thank you for Jesus your only begotten Son. Amen

God Comforts Those Who Are Persecuted

THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH

“Lord, have mercy on me. See how I suffer at the hands of those who hate me. Snatch me back from the jaws of death.

Save me, so I can praise you publicly at Jerusalem’s gates, so I can rejoice that you have rescued me…

Arise, O Lord! Do not let mere mortals defy you! Let the nations be judged in your presence.
Make them tremble in fear, O Lord. Let them know they are merely human.”

JESUS WARNS US SOME WILL ABANDON THE FAITH AND FOLLOW DECEIVING SPIRITS

Jesus Forewarns

1 Timothy 4

4 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

6 If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. 7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. 8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. 9 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. 10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.

11 Command and teach these things. 12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. 14 Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.

15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. 16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.  NIVT

PRAYER: Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, guide us by your Holy Spirit to hear only Your Voice.  I pray strengthen our minds to have the mind of Christ(Romans 7:25-Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.) (1 Corinthians 2:16-for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ) (Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.)  Thank you Father for your Word, the Holy Spirit, grace, mercy, love, patience’s, and your Son, Jesus Christ.  Let those who have ears to hear (Luke 8:8Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown.” When he said this, he called out, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”) and let those who have eyes to see (Luke 10:23Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.) Father, you are our sustainer and provider in strength and daily needs. Praise be your Holy Name.  Thank you for everything.  Your Glory never stops amazing me.  Day to day because of You I am not dismayed.  Why? Because you are the Way (Psalm 77:19Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.) Jesus is the wayJohn 14:6Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Amen

HONOR GOD

Father God on His Throne

God delights in those who honor him

As bright as the sky

Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who turn many to righteousness will shine like stars forever.   Daniel 12:3 NLT

Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. How we thank God, who gives us victory over sin and death through Jesus Christ our Lord!  1 Corinthians 15:55-56 NLT

But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and that he will stand upon the earth at last. And after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God. I will see him for myself. Yes, I will see him with my own eyes. I am overwhelmed at the thought!  Job 19:25-27 NLT

But the fact is that Christ has been raised from the dead. He has become the first of a great harvest of those who will be raised to life again1 Corinthians 15:20 NLT

SHOUT TO THE LORD

Christ is our Redeemer

Hosanna, Loud Hosanna

The next day, the news that Jesus was on the way to Jerusalem swept through the city. A huge crowd of Passover visitors took palm branches and went down the road to meet him.

John 12:12 NLT

From Olivet they followed mid an exultant crowd the victor palm branch waving, and chanting clear and loud; the Lord of men and angels rode on in lowly state, nor scorned that little children should on His bidding wait.

Hosanna, Loud Hosanna by Jeannette Threlfall (1821-1880)

Praising her victorious Savior

Today is Palm Sunday. The triumphal entry into Jerusalem was the scene of a curious exchange between Jesus and the religious leaders of the day. A crowd was following Jesus, waving palms and singing, “Hosanna!” This term, literally meaning, “Lord, save us!” was also a cry of praise.

This crowd included a number of children, no doubt caught up in the excitement of the day. The leaders asked Jesus to tell the children to stop such singing. Certainly Jesus wouldn’t want innocent kids to be guilty of blasphemy. “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked Jesus.

Yes, Jesus said, quoting Psalm 8:2, “From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise.” (Matthew 21:16)

You might think that Jeannette Threlfall had many reasons not to praise God. Orphaned young, shuttled among relatives, she was injured in an accident and became an invalid. Yet she remained cheery and faithful, penning many Christian poems and hymns. Her life was a cry of hosanna! to her victorious Savior.
